Hawaii Pet Photographer, Deb McGuire, Deb McGuire Pet Photographer, Inc. and HawaiiPetPhotos.com attended the “Grand Opening“ of the Kaneohe PETCO on July 11, 2011. Mango, her recently rescued and much loved dog, accompanied Deb.

I was thrilled when I received the invitation to the Opening and blessing of the Kaneohe PETCO. Since the closing of the local Pet Discount, we have had to travel to the other side of the island for pet supplies. This PETCO is about 10 minutes door to door.

Since PETCO is a pet friendly store, plenty of dogs were in attendance, including Shamrock, a recent client. Shamrock is a boxer, and his human, Theresa, is the head of the local Boxer Club. Mango kept wanting to jump on Shamrock… she was overcome by his virility.

Mary Long from Hawaii Pet Magazine also attended. As always, we enjoy seeing Mary. The Hawaiian Humane Society representatives were there.

PETCO offers grooming and training and an incredible variety of pet products. As an example, Mango got a new bone, a rubber chicken squeaky toy, and a much needed travel water bottle.  Mango also purchased a gift for her doggy-daddy… Cesar Milan book on basic training… although I am not certain that the book is for the dog or for the human.

POSTSCRIPT: Mango was so overwhelmed by the whole ordeal that she came home, chewed her bone, and fell deeply asleep.
