Two Honolulu newscasts have recently featured Deb McGuire, HawaiiPetPhotos.com.
On June 24th, KHON 2′s Olena Rubin followed Deb McGuire as she photographed “Bubby.” Deb McGuire photographed “Bubby” in exchange for therapeutic massages for her husband (a retired, disabled Marine who was injured in Iraq). Ms. Rubin’s aticle focused on bartering; that is, in tough economic times professionals sometimes trade services vice paying cash. On July 6th, Deb McGuire was featured in separate stories on KITV4. Mahealani Richardson prepared both for the KITV feature “Project Economy.” In the morning Ms. Richardson focused solely on Deb McGuire and HawaiiPetPhotos.com That story addressed starting a business in tough economic times. In the evening story looked more broadly at the pet industry. That second story looked PETCO’s recent expansion in the Oahu market and Deb McGuire’s photography business. The theme: even in tough economic times, people spend money on their pets. The featured models for both stories were Alex, Cleo, and Kenzie.
