Deb McGuire, Hawaii Pet Photographer, snapped the cover for the “Calabash” section of June’s “Honolulu Magazine.”
“Calabash” is the first section of the magazine. It features short, crisp features covering a range of topics, including shopping, health, environment, fitness, food and the arts.
In Hawaii, the calabash is a large serving bowl that is used on a buffet. The calabash has come to symbolize the large extended ohana that tends to gather for events requiring the buffet and the large bowls. A “Calabash Cousin” is a member of such an extended ohana.
Deb McGuire and HawaiiPetPhotos.com is proud to be featured in “Honolulu Magazine” and of its inclusion in “Calabash.”
